MOTOmed loop p.la Parkinson

MOTOmed® loop p.la Parkinson

Product Code: B1-6006

The MOTOmed loop p.la Parkinson is a active/passive trainer for legs and arms specifically designed for Parkinson’s patients and is part of the next generation of MOTOmed models from Reck. The MOTOmed loop p.la Parkinson’s model enables quick, motor-assisted rotations up to 90 revolutions per minute, known as Forced Exercise. These quick, guided movements can help to reduce tremor, improve walking ability, and help the user carry out daily movements purposely and with confidence.

New design features include colour touch display, in-built height adjustment, therapy programmes, new games, full upgrade capabilities, and much, much, more. The MOTOmed loop p.la Parkinson active/passive leg & arm trainer impresses with its unique digital intelligence and its visual appearance. Almost all models can be upgraded in terms of equipment and functionality by means of an Upgrade Bundle. The MOTOmed loop also features its unique height adjustment, with which users can adjust the height of their MOTOmed models without tools or accessories. In addition, the high-quality material of the softly rounded surfaces of the MOTOmed next generation meets the high demands of hygiene management in facilities and clinics. The MOTOmed loop p.la Parkinson allows for movement in 3 different modes of exercise:

  • Passive training: where the user’s legs or arms are moved by the electric motor up to speeds of 90 revolutions per minute
  • Assistive training: where the user may have limited muscle strength and the motor provides assistance to maintain rotational momentum
  • Active training: where the user is able to pedal without motor assistance against varying levels of resistance

Functions of the MOTOmed loop series

Foot insertion aid

Position the foot shells to make it easier to get feet in and out allowing for more independent use.

Spasm Control

SpasmControl, with the automatic change in cycling direction, helps loosening spasms according to the following therapeutic principle: A bending spasm is relieved by stretching, while a stretching spasm is eased by bending. The motor stops the pedal movement. Legs are relieved and the direction of rotation is switched after a brief resting period. This process is repeated until the cramping is eased.

Symmetry Training

SymmetryTraining is key when targeting a weaker side of the body during training. It gives visual feedback to the user on how much work each side of the body is doing, allowing the user to focus on working their weaker side more.

Movement Protector

Should muscle cramp or spasm during exercise the MovementProtector feature stops the pedal for a moment and then begin turning in the opposite direction to help relax the muscle.

ServoCycling

Similar to a power steered vehicle, the MOTOmed feature ServoCycling supports the user during active training. This function enables, people with minimal muscle strength, to train actively without overstraining. The feature supports the maintenance and improvement of residual muscle strength.

Training Analysis

Each training session records data such as distance, time, symmetry, speed, and much more. Comparison allows for targeted exercise.
