Chinesport is an Italian company established in 1976 . The company name is the result of the original matching of one Italian word “chinesiterapia” (kinesitherapy) and “sport”.     This device enables the user to move from a seated position into and maintain an upright position, and to move indoors with the assistance of a carer. The user is lifted into a standing position by means of a (rechargeable) battery-powered electric motor operated by hand control, while the movement of the thoracic support accompanies them throughout the lift.

    The thoracic support has a safety sensor for the user to stop the standing sequence at any time. The standing frame can be customized to fit the individual user correctly by a number of easy adjustments. It has a large tray to hold items and can be adjusted to the user’s height by means of a gas spring assisted system. To support the torso, the handles can be tilted and adjusted in depth. The seat depth can be adjusted.
